David Seah Compact Calendar

David Seah's Compact Calendar

It’s been a while since I’ve been reading David Seah’s website and using his productiviy tools a.k.a. Printable CEO.

I’m using The Emergent Time Tracker to keep up with my daily work, rest breaks, etc. The Concrete Goals Tracker I use for daily/weekly bird’s eye on my productivity. And finally I use the Task Order Up! To keep up to the task. Of course I’m not marking bubbles every 15 minutes. I usually do it before the hourly rest-breaks or micro-breaks.

David as already updated some of his tools to 2007, including the Compact Calendar. And… that’s why I’m writing this article.

David Seah is the best to describe what is Compact Calendar for:

I use this calendar template for project estimating. It’s compact, easy to print, and most importantly allows me to visualize time as blocks. I usually just circle the starting dates of a task, then run a line out to the right side where I can make a note as to what it is. With the amount of whitespace available on the right, there’s plenty of room to leave notes. After I’m done, I then either make a clean version with another sheet of paper, or type up the dates right on a copy of this spreadsheet

But do as you please.

So, I’ve decided It was time to give back some light and I adapted Compact Calendar to European Portuguese. A part from translation It includes all the Portuguese Official Holidays. At wikipedia you may find your local holidays. So hack your calendar as you please.

Because I don’t use Excel (Atchim!!) I edited David’s Calendar with Open Office and made some versions of it:

Do as you please, you’re free to try it…. Just do it :)

Dave. Thank you :)
